Nous étions assez excités à l’idée de passer une journée à San Francisco et nous avons décidé de faire un tour de la ville en bus. D’abord, nous avons dû prendre le « BART » (Transport Rapide de la région de la Baie) à Pleasanton pour nous rendre à l’Embarcadero.

We were quite excited to be able to spend a day in SF and we decided to book a bus tour, in order to at least get an overview of the city. First, we had to take the « BART » (Bay Area Rapid Transport) from Pleasanton to reach the Embarcadero.

Nous sommes arrivés à Market Street, en plein milieu du quartier des affaires et en sortant du métro, voilà ce que j’ai vu !

We arrived in Market Street, right in the financial district and coming out of the underground this is what I saw!

Sans doute qu’on aurait pu éviter d’aller au Pier 39 à pieds, mais je me suis amusée à observer les gens vaquer à leurs occupations :

With hindsight, walking to Pier 39 was probably a bit much, but I really enjoyed observing people going about their business: 

Evidemment, nous avons aussi croisé plusieurs artistes, là pour les touristes :

And of course, we also met entertainers, only there for tourists:

Enfin, nous sommes arrivés au Pier 39 :

Eventually, we arrived at Pier 39:

Puis nous sommes montés dans un bus comme celui-ci:

Then we got an open top bus tour, like this one:

Il y avait un commentaire audio pendant que nous avons déambulé dans la ville, à la découverte des monuments :

There was an audio commentary as we drove around the city, discovering the landmarks:

En haut du bus à impériale , j’ai continué à observer les gens dans les rues:

From the open top bus, I carried on observing people in the streets:

Et j’ai aussi trouvé l’architecture assez intéressante :

And I was also particularly interested in the buildings:

J’ai même remarqué que certains avaient de l’humour !

I even noticed that some had had a bit of fun!

Finalement, nous nous sommes approchés du Golden Gate Bridge : il y avait un grand ciel bleu, mais à cause du vent il faisait drôlement froid ! J’ai compris pourquoi certains passagers dans le bus avaient des manteaux d’hiver et des écharpes !

Then, eventually we reached the Golden Gate Bridge: luckily it was a bright sunny day, but because of the wind it was freezing! I understood why some of the passengers were wearing winter coats and scarves!

Nous sommes ensuite remontés dans un bus, après avoir immortalisé notre passage devant la baie, comme beaucoup d’autres touristes :

We got back on a bus, after taking the traditional shot by the bay, like many other tourists:

De retour au quartier des affaires, le soleil était déjà bas à l’horizon :

Back to the financial district, the sun was setting on the horizon:

De nouveau à bord du BART, j’ai prêté attention aux voyageurs :

Once onboard the BART again, I gave attention to commuters:

Et vous savez quoi ? Qu’ils soient de Londres, Paris, Madrid ou San Francisco, je dirais que tout le monde se ressemble dans les transports (ou presque !)

And you know what? From London, Paris, Madrid or San Francisco, it seems to me that all commuters (almost) look the same!
